Oxfords & Oysters 2011

This past Friday was the second-annual Oxfords and Oysters event hosted by Sky Blue Events. The fundraiser was hosted at the newly opened Four Seasons in Baltimore. It was a real pleasure to be a part of such an awesome event with a really good cause. The O&O works to support the Oyster Recovery Project whose alliance of participating restaurants throughout the mid-Atlantic collect discarded shells from raw bars and dinner plates. The shells then become homes for tiny oyster spats, aka fledgling oysters.

Sandy + Dal’s Traditional Korean Wedding Washington DC

Sandy and Dal were married on a beautiful summer afternoon this past June. The couple is crazy adorable and were so easy to photograph. With Dal’s hearty sense of humor and Sandy’s gentle grace, we were able to capture a number of beautiful moments. It was a real treat to see and photograph my first traditional Korean wedding ceremony and I really loved the vibrant colors and interesting details. Hurricane Irene moved in to the Washington area on the weekend of the dedication of the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial at the National Mall. Below preparations were under way for an Alpha Phi Alpha event at the DAR Constitution Hall.
