It occurred to me a while back that I still don’t think my parents completely understand what it is that I do for a living. Of course I’ve explained it, and I’m sure they are quite familiar with what it looks like when someone is taking a picture, but I don’t think most people really understand how much can be involved in getting just one shot.
I had some time while waiting for a portrait client the other evening and I decided to try to put into pictures what I’ve been unable to explain with words. Now I’ve just got to figure out a way to show how wedding coverage works.
I guess this could also be titled “I need to hire an assistant.”

so cool!!
Now we understand what it is you do.
such a great picture!!
Very impressive!!!
Eli-this picture speaks a million words! Very cool!
I love your work! You do exactly what photographer should, let the picture “speak” and you capture it. Outstanding.
Whoa! Thanks Caterina! You’ve left me speechless : )
I love this! You are such a talented guy and were so lucky to have had you
I love this photograph Eli! It definitely speaks to the process of getting that great shot!
Thanks Maya! I appreciate the kind words.
This photo is hillarious and telling all in one. I don’t think any of our parents truly understand what we do. Have you tried sharing a wedding album with them? My parents think I’m a cook!
